Blackthorn Festival



The following rules (“Specific Rules”) together with the general competition terms and conditions (which can be found at (the “ Competition Terms and Conditions”) of Communicorp UK (as defined in the Competition Terms and Conditions) apply to win with XS Manchester competition (the “Competition") which will run every weekday morning on the Breakfast show with Steve Berry on XS Manchester (the “Radio Station”).


Anyone who enters the Competition (an “Entrant”) will be deemed to have read and accepted the Specific Rules and the Competition Terms and Conditions and will be bound by them.

Details of the Competition:

We have 5 pairs of tickets to give away for the Blackthorn music festival. The 5 winners will all go into a draw and one of them will win a back stage meet or great with the bands Maximo Park and The View.

To enter the Competition an Entrant must:

Listen to the Breakfast Show with Steve Berry on weekday morning between 8 20am and 0840am. Steve Berry will announce that the competition has started. He will ask a question based on the Blackthorn Festival. During a specified song - entrants will be asked to text their answer – A or B to 87711

One entrant will be picked at random and announced on air that they have won a pair of tickets.

On the Friday – when the last pair has been given away, all 5 winners will go into a draw. The person randomly selected will have their tickets upgraded to a meet and great with the bands Maximo Park.

You must be able to come on air. If you have text and are successfully chosen, we will call you back. If you do not answer your phone or are unable to come on air, then another entrant will be selected at random.


Entry is restricted to one entry per person.



5 pairs (a pair a day) of weekend camping tickets for the Blackthorn Festival.

Blackthorn Festival will be responsible for the prize and all communication will be with them when you arrive at the site.


Communicorp UK reserves the right to substitute the prize with another prize at its absolute discretion.
