Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs is to become a director of football in Vietnam
Ryan Giggs is set to join Vietnamese club Promotion Fund of Vietnamese Football Talents FC (PVF) as an academy youth director.
Giggs is thought to be joined by fellow United legend Paul Scholes in the venture, which will involve biannual trips to Asia.
According to the club’s website, Giggs’ role will include overseeing the development of a new training facility, where he will be “responsible for coaching players, training coaches and participating in building and developing PVF to become the leading youth football training centre in Vietnam, in line with the famous football academies across the world.”
PVF are based in Ho Chi Minh City.
