Gorillaz have teased the release of new music in a series of cryptic clues.
Jamie Hewlitt, co-creator of the virtual band, confirmed last year that there would be new music from the Gorillaz in 2018 and it seems to be coming very soon.
Cryptic posters at London’s All Points East festival suggest the follow up to last year’s ‘Humanz’ will be called ‘The Now Now’.
The posters included a link to the TheNowNow.Tv, a web page playing a short clip featuring a quick silhouette of band member 2-D playing guitar, before the words ‘The Now Now’ pop up, followed by the date June 29.
Although there’s been no news from the Gorillaz camp on social media, Hewlitt’s wife Emma De Caunes backed up the teasers with a post on her Instagram story, sharing the ‘Now Now’ logo.
The teasers for ‘The Now Now’ follow the band previewing new track ‘Hollywood’, featuring Snoop Dogg, whilst performing in Santiago back in March.
Gorillaz are playing a number of festivals across the summer, including a headline slot at Open'er in Poland and one UK date, at Boomtown festival.
