The Slow Readers Club announce UK tour

Slow Readers Club

The Slow Readers Club have announced a four-date UK tour.

The four piece from Manchester will play their biggest headline shows yet, including a hometown gig at Manchester’s O2 Apollo.

The tour follows the release of the band’s third studio album, Build A Tower, which went to number 18 in the Official UK album chart.

The Slow Readers Club’s tour earlier this year saw the band play sell out shows across the country, including the 2,000 capacity Manchester Cathedral and London’s Assembly Hall.

Front man Aaron Starkie said: “We’re so pleased to have everyone behind us. It’s always great to look out at more and more people at gigs and see people singing back.

“We can’t thank XS enough for the support you have given us. You have been playing us three or four times a day and that makes all the difference.”

The band reached the semi-finals of the Manchester Music Cup earlier this week, but were knocked out by long term supporters James, having beaten Joy Division and The Charlatans in the earlier rounds.

15 OCT - Dublin, Button Factory
