The BRITs Critic’s Choice 2018 award nominees have been announced, with an all-female line up for the first time ever.
Past recipients of the award include Florence and the Machine, Sam Smith, Adele and Emilie Sande, who have all gone on to have worldwide success.
This year’s nominees are Mabel, Jorja Smith and Stefflon Dom.
Mabel, who is Neneh Cherry’s youngest daughter, has already scored a top ten hit with Finders Keepers, which was released earlier this year.
20 year old Jorja Smith, whose debut album is set to be released next year, takes inspiration from the likes of Amy Winehouse and Damian Marley.
Such an honour to be one of the @BRITs Critics Choice nominees for 2018! 2017 has been a surreal year and I have so much coming for 2018. Thank you to my team and all who have supported me from the beginning pic.twitter.com/i6qsUIhrqU— JMoney (@JorjaSmith) November 29, 2017
Finally, Londoner Stefflon Dom is nominated for the award after scoring a top ten hit with ‘Hurtin Me’.
The winner will be announced on December 4, where they will be presented with the prize at a special BRITs ceremony.
The 2018 BRIT awards will be held on February 21 at the O2 in London.
